Pastor Tim Shanks
God's Word Baptist Church has been serving the Lord in Ridgefield, WA since August of 2000. I was young, inexperienced and had no idea what it meant to be a Pastor. In the years to follow the only thing that has changed is my age. Fortunately, God chooses to use the foolish, weak and base things (I Corinthians 1:27) for his glory. If anything good has been accomplished thus far, God has certainly done it. It has been my privilege to be the pastor of this great work.
I grew up in a Pastor's home with the godly influences of both my Mother and Father. They are currently serving the Lord in Fredericka, Delaware.
It was in Watertown, Wisconsin at Maranatha Baptist Bible College that I met my lovely wife and best friend, Becki. We have been married since June of 1996 and I cannot describe what a blessing this godly lady is to me, and to this ministry. We now have five wonderful children whose names are Madison, Timmy, Abigail, Jadon and Allison.
I am excited about what God is doing in the life of God's Word Baptist Church and I can hardly wait to see what he will do next.
